Although the car was originally delivered in an Imperial Maroon exterior color, it now wears a stunning Opalescent Silver that compliments the elegant lines of the E-type beautifully. All paint and bodywork were done to the highest standard by marque specialist, Speedwell Engineering, LTD of Ballground, GA. The attention to detail and level of craftsmanship that went into the paint and bodywork is meticulous with fantastic color and immaculate consistency from front to back. The body is extremely straight with excellent gaps and fitment to all the panels and body pieces.

The front covered headlights and windshield are all new. The chrome on the car is either new or has been replated. The rubber trim throughout has been replaced.

The chromed wire wheels are new with a bright clean finish to them.

The interior of the car received the same attention to detail and correctness that the exterior of the car was treated to and remains in like-new condition. Although originally finished in a biscuit color, it currently wears a bright red that compliments the Opalescent Silver exterior fantastically. The seats themselves are new and to original factory specifications with correct levels of padding and the proper stitching and pleating. The door cards fit very nicely and show no wear, same with the sills and their protective coverings. The door jams are clean and tidy with an excellent and consistent finish. The steering wheel is the original unit and as such shows a beautiful patina and worn in nature to the wood as well as the holed spokes. The black convertible top is also brand new.

The gauge faces have excellent color to them and read bright and clear. All the switches perform their mechanical functions as they should; wipers work, washer fluid squirts out, the emergency brake light illuminates when the brake is engaged, the interior light switch works, the map light illuminates and the fan blows at two different speeds. Both original windows roll up and down with ease, the door handles function as they should and the emergency brake holds the car firmly in place.

Much like the rest of the car, an immense amount of time and detail went into the engine bay and the engine itself during the extensive restoration. Due to the amount of careful time spent, the engine bay remains exceptionally clean and correct. In addition all tags, stickers and stampings are in their original and correct locations.

The trunk area is clean and tidy. Complete tool kit included.

The underside of the vehicle is in perfect condition. Floor pans are smooth and solid with no signs of any issues. The exhaust was replaced at the time of mechanical refreshing and remains in excellent condition.

This E-type benefits from a recent thorough mechanical refreshing and it shows in the running nature of the car. All engine components were pressure washed, degreased, rebuilt, or replaced. All wiring was replaced to factory specifications. With a little help from the choke, the engine fires to life with a few turns of the starter. Until the engine is up to temperature it tends to run a bit rough, as is common with these cars and engines. However, once standard operating temperatures are reached, the engine settles into a smooth and controlled idle with a snappy throttle response. Out on the road, it makes excellent smooth power and feels strong and healthy. No flat spots or stumbles were noticed during our brief testing of the vehicle.

The gear selector slides easily through its range of motion and moves in and out of gears with ease. The clutch hydraulics were all replaced, leaving the clutch engagement smooth and controlled. The transmission engages gears with ease, holds power well, and revs freely through the RPM range.

Both the Suspension system as well as the braking system were replaced and in excellent working order. The car comes to a smooth controlled stop with a good responsive brake pedal feel. The suspension feels tight and compliant, exactly as it should. The car feels tight, new, and reflective of the low original mileage in terms of its feeling and performance overall.

The tires were also replaced with correct style Vredestein Sprint Classics during this car's mechanical refreshing and have seen minimal road use since, leaving them practically new still.

Every car enthusiast should experience the joy of driving an E-type at some point in their motoring career. Peering out over the long bonnet and pushing the big straight 6 through its paces is a truly joyful experience. Between its striking Opalescent silver exterior, beautiful red interior, and complete mechanical refreshing, this is the perfect car to either hit the show circuit with or carefully and thoroughly enjoy on those warm spring days.
