The Overview

When the topic of Barn Finds comes up, there always seem to be two questions we get asked. The first is, “How do you find them?” and the second is, “How did they end up like that?”. In the case of our most recent find, this amazing 1957 Mercedes-Benz 190SL, after a sub-par paint job began to fail shortly after being applied, the owner got so discouraged that he parked the car in his barn and proceeded to leave it there for the next 50 years. A brief phone call led to our new friend Chris being tipped off about the car. He knew he had to purchase it but was unsure of what to do with it, so he began scouring the internet and luckily ended up on our YouTube channel, which is filled with awesome Barn Find content. He reached out to us and asked us if we would be interested in helping him extract it, and of course, we answered yes! We brought the cameras along so you could see how the process went. Check out the full video linked above, and be sure to subscribe for future interesting content!

This 190SL ended up being better preserved than we thought and actually sold through social media shortly after we posted a sneak peak. If you are interested in a similar project or you know of an interesting car stashed away somewhere, please feel free to reach out to us!
