The Overview
Manufactured from 2003 to 2014 the Gallardo is the best-selling Lamborghini model of all-time with just over 14k units produced. It was built in succession to the Murcielago which ran from 2001-2011. Like many of its predecessors in the Lamborghini lineup, the Gallardo was named after a historic breed of fighting bulls. Slightly smaller in size than the Murcielago, the Gallardo was originally delivered with a 5.0L V-10 that produced 493bhp and was offered with a conventional six-speed manual transmission or an advanced six-speed electro-hydraulic actuated single clutch automated manual transmission, that is commonly referred to as E-Gear.
After some initial constructive criticisms from owners, the Gallardo benefitted from some updates for the 2006 model year that included a sportier exhaust, a revised suspension and steering rack, lower gear ratios, and a performance increase of 20bhp to 513bhp. The Spyder or convertible version was unveiled at the LA Auto Show in January 2006 and utilized the upgraded 5.0L V-10 with 513bhp.
This pre-facelift example shows just 11,600 miles from new and is offered in the rare and stunning Arancio Borealis that is nicely accentuated with the bi-color Nero Persues (Black) and Arancio Leones (Orange) all leather interior with the Q-Situra (diamond) pattern stitching. It features the E-Gear transmission and is equipped with almost all available factory options; including rear camera, navigation, Homelink system, branding package, and the rare for 2008, front-lift option. Additionally, it sports the large carbon fiber interior trim package from the factory that includes factory carbon dash, carbon e-brake handle, carbon center console, carbon gauge pack, carbon door handles, and door sill plates.
Offered from a prominent private Midwest collection, this example has been extremely well cared for and serviced being adult owned and driven its whole life. Most recently in September of 2019, it had its Lamborghini Factory 6th service at a cost of $3,233 performed at Suburban Lamborghini. This included replacing the drive belt, a full synthetic oil and filter change, brake flush, differential service, gearbox fluid change, and a top off of all fluids. The brakes were checked as was the clutch which shows in good condition with about 60% of life left.
Cosmetically, the car presents more like a 1,000-mile car. It has had paint protection film since day one and currently wears XPEL’s Ultimate Paint Protection Film. One must carefully study the car at length to find any imperfections as there are hardly any at all. Of minor note are just a few pin-sized chips in the windshield and a few small chips on two of the wheels. Moving to the interior there really are no notable flaws with the exception of a few chips on the interior door handle and only very minimal wear on the driver seat bolster. The rest of the interior looks as if it just left the showroom floor. It is very evident that the past owners of this Gallardo went to extreme lengths to maintain the overall condition. This Gallardo is stock with the exception of the upgraded Kenwood in-dash navigation head-unit, Alpine amplifier, and custom FABSPEED exhaust system that was professionally installed and includes carbon fiber rear exhaust tips and surrounds.
Additional items included in the sale are the original books and manuals, tools, air pump, and tire sealant. It has a clean CARFAX which can be viewed along with the most recent service records under the “View Documents” tab.
